The stylized visials look good, especially large vistas. Feels like fantasy. But there's too much laser and ghost busters effects. Even the crossbow shoots oversized plasma charges. All theese effects could work in rare and epic magical showdowns.

If I remember correctly Napolean had a mod for WW1 and it was dope how they set it up. I will always be a Total War fan, I love the older games the best but I'll still get on with the guys every now and then and play some Warhammer 3.

I remember being excited for Siege, only to be disappointed when the mode I liked best, terrorist hunt, was no longer it's own seperated mode and forced in with the pvp modes. Glad I never ended up getting sucked into it cause of that.

I think Bioware should delay this game from 2024 to 2025, do what you didn't do with Andromeda and let the game have more time. As a fan of dragon age games I am worried that many of old bioware is gone after Inquisition and more left after Anthem and Andromeda, who do writing and dialog for main quests, side quests, companions, companion quests, random NPC dialog etc.. bringing the storylines and lore together in this game compared to the other dragon age games and Mass effect 1-3 I love Andromeda MP but the SP mode was lacking quite badly compare to mass effect 1-3 and even compared to dragon 1-3 at that time as well. I hope we don't get another open empty lands like we did with Inquisition. I rather go back to Origins style worlds of it means we get a better quest lines writing etc..

A Star Wars Total War would be terrible. How would they do the Prequels? You would have to have Jedi, sometimes many in the same battle, that can deflect blaster bolts and get into melee. And if you only focus on the OT, then you’re missing out on a lot of great stuff from the Prequels. Just have somebody make a modern Star Wars RTS, not Total War.

It's literally just a crypto scheme using the steam trading market. Amusingly this is exactly the scenario people were scared of happening ~14 years ago.

People buying an expansion on Gamepass ie deluxe are not making a sound investment, unless you also bought the full game through gamepass and not using the subscription service. Because once they pull the main game from the sub service you lose access to the expansion and you have to buy it through microsoft to play it, usually at full price. I had KCD through gamepass, I liked it so I bought the expansions and a week later they announce its removal from the service. I ended up buying the entire thing via steam when it came on sale.

Yeah right, Todd can stick it. Bethesda tried to do that with Creation Club in Skyrim, not to this extent, and it backfired. He knew it was very probable people would not appreciate the greed but he tried it anyway.

All good things must come to an end. These studios don’t have the same people anymore, they might as well rename themselves. The people who created and innovated these franchises moved on. It’s more about looking for new developers who develop games in the spirit of these games one likes.

Even if the industry standard was 12%, by no way will any of the triple A publishers lower the price as result, i rather give the money to valve.

man I made it a whole minute twenty in and I hard disagree with everything you've said to the point I'ma just stop. origins had goofiness. the trailer was being narrated by VARRIC the goofiest character in all of dragon age who is goofy as a front. of course the trailer narrated by varric sounded like a marvel movie. IT WAS NARRATED BY VARRIC.

My issue with most current live services is that they had moved away from offering game play changes, modes and improvements to aesthetics. I goal of the live service was to pay monthly to have a continuing release of game content, maps, locations, POI, equipment etc. Now live service means it's a game I can't play without an internet connection and if I give them more money they will give me skins instead of additional gameplay.

About what companies could do to properly monetize a game, I think it's simply to be respectful to the player. Don't do the CoD approach where you make people buy a full-priced game and then say "Oh you want a skin? That'll be 25 bucks", price it reasonably because the absolute maximum a full character skin should cost is 10 bucks and that's a HUGE stretch already, 5 should be the average. Don't try to fool people by only selling stuff in bundles where 90% of their content is useless so you can excuse jacking it up. While a lot of them are trash, there are plenty of weapon skins in Cod where if they allowed me to spend 3 euro for just the single gun I want instead of telling me to buy the 20 euro bundle it comes in I would have gladly done it but when a company at every turn tells me to go fuck myself for wanting to enjoy their game, they don't deserve my money, they don't respect their customers and therefore, haven't earned it. The skins are shiny and have bright lights and flames on them tho, and people are bad with impulse control so they'll just keep getting away with spitting on our faces and telling us to thank them

One of the biggest reasons why this is so ridiculous is because siege skins are also notoriously fucking horrible. People still covet a skin from year 2 as the best in the game, and all the cool elites are locked behind other types of paywalls. The subscription literally gets you access to their worst skins

I play a game called deep rock Galactic, and if this small Indy studio can make it through over five seasons of content, and five years of updates, by selling the game for 30 bucks and adding $10 DLC packs if you want to support development, Then I think one of the bigger studios can easily do something similar

Oh no Steam says you can't sell games you also sell on their platform for cheaper elsewhere? That's so anti competitive! No it's not, if you ask Steam for keys to sell on other platforms they are on the hook for the bandwidth that'll be used to download that game once bought, this literally just stops developers from fucking Steam over, so weird that a for profit company uses business practices that stop it's users from fucking them over isn't it? The reality is that Steam gives both the consumers and developers that decide to use their platform a ton of perks, and apparently competitors and even fucking governments are salty about that. That's not for the sake of singing the praises of Valve either, their neglect of Team Fortress 2 for one is a good example of something they - in my opinion - don't do right, the former is just a simple fact. They don't have a "monopoly" because they stop you from using other services, they have a "monopoly" because they simply provide the best services. If we're going to go after a company for having monopolies or anti competitive practices let's have a look at Microsoft and their history shall we?

I would say the biggest issue, at least for me, with TWW3 is that older factions don’t get tweaked or updated.

They've been slacking. The hate is deserved. Im glad warhammer 3 got a good update but Im also tired of all the chaos stuff coming after. There are other factions that need love. I personally want to see some vampire counts mainly the silver pinnacle and the sisterhood
